2025 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ZERO WASTE HELD IN NASARAWA STATE NIGERIA

2025 ZERO WASTE REPORT- The team of AfriEarth Foundation joined the members of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Environment to sensitize the public on ZERO WASTE and enforce the environmental sanitation within the state in commemoration of 2025 International Day of ZERO WASTE.


The Nasarawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a ZERO WASTE through its monthly sanitation exercise, emphasizing the initiative’s significance in achieving a ZERO WASTE State. The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Bar. Isaac Danladi applauded the partnership between AfriEarth Foundation and the Government of Nasarawa State to end the menace of waste in the State. He lamented the challenges of waste in Nasarawa, and was hopeful that AfriEarth Foundation will use its expertise to make Nasarawa State a clean state in Nigeria.


Speaking at the office of the honorable commissioner, the Founder and Project Director of AfriEarth Foundation, Amb. Lawrence Mayaki-Akinpelu emphasized the commitment of the Foundation in  helping Nasarawa State end plastic and textile waste. While reiterating the importance of youth involvement and community engagement in bringing about a complete attitudinal change in how people manage waste, and creating a circular system through reduce, reuse, recycle and recover, he decried the deplorable state of the environment caused by the impact of waste in the state, and he assured the government of Nasarawa State that with their support the state is going ZERO WASTE.
Amb. Lawrence Mayaki-Akinpelu extols the willingness and passion expressed by the state commissioner of environment and natural resources, Bar. Isaac Danladi to make Nasarawa State Green and better in few months.
